Garment was added to the workshop through the Dodgeball jumpchain and was the second (debatably) living creature given to Joe by the Celestial Forge[1].
LordRoustabout took liberties with the perk to turn the embodying spirit of the gloves into her own character.
Appearance[]
Garment is described in her first appearance as a pair of pure white gloves. Most of the time, however, she chooses to animate an outfit to give the illusion of a larger form. Doing so also lets her communicate with expressive 'body' language.
Jumpchain Perk Description[]
Garment Gloves (Dodgeball) 200:
These are a pair of pure white gloves. Bound to them is an intelligence with a mind for fashion: a designer, seamstress, clothier, and tailor without mortal peer. It has the ability to scry for fashion based information from international trends to precise measurements. Given materials and orders, it will industriously produce fine apparel, producing any modifications, clothing, footwear, accessories, etc that is within theoretical mortal ability. It has sufficient telekinesis to move itself and to independently suspend materials. It must be provided with materials, though it may be provided a lump sum or budget with which to magically acquire materials at cost.
You may wear the gloves to channel the skills (but not powers) of the entity, perhaps even learning from it.
Trivia[]
- In her first appearance, she tugs at the collar of the jacket Joe is wearing. At first he thinks the gloves are throttling him, but he quickly realizes she's just critiquing his fashion choices.
- Garment cannot speak and has a lot of trouble typing out words, but she is very expressive and can make herself understood in-person.
- While there will be no official connection between Garment and Apeiron it's likely to end up as something of a public secret or inside joke.
